Why Dollar Collapse may not be coming
« on: October 13, 2020, 09:44:30 AM »
It is difficult to think of any area in finance where more nonsense is written about than that of the US dollar. understanding the dollar's history and why it has historically weakened or strengthened is tantamout to figuring out where the dollar is going next.

I agree. The Dollar index is slightly under 94 right now and I see further strengthening in the next 12 months.

I didn't read the article as I'm really pressed for time but just off the top of my head.

I can see it both ways:
Dollar collapse won't be coming because people have been claiming America is going to collapse since at least the 80s. Any day it will happen right?

Dollar collapse could come because our politicians can't keep raising the debt ceiling, printing money, and keep kicking the can down the line.

It wouldn't hurt to hedge against a dollar collapse.

I think nowadays the COVID 19 impact and US president trading policy collapse the Dollar value. After the USA election and relase of COVID 19 vaccine for public use the Dollar value becomes to stable or strong.
