Whistic Review: Terrible Product That Is Overpriced

I checked out Whistic after John Finizio, a Whistic employee left a grating comment on my post, Revenge Spend: Things To Buy To Get Back At Life.

He said I shouldn't highlight buying a mattress or a vacuum cleaner on my site when discussing things to buy with your investment gains. Huh? What gives him the right to tell me what I can write on my website?

John Finizio also said I shouldn't be making money off my site either. I don't know who John thinks he is, but unless he is working for free and Whistic is offering its products for free, John is a hypocrite. Whistic is a terrible company for hiring people like John.

When I asked John Finizio in an e-mail to explain himself and offer suggestions on what things I should suggest people buy, instead of the things I buy and use, he wouldn't give an answer.

I'm sick of entitled people like John Finizio who go around telling people what to do and not to do. I asked him whether he works for free at Whistic since he believes I should work for free on my site. I also asked him if his company gives away all its products for free.

He said no. When I asked him why he doesn't cut his salary to zero since he expects me to work for free, John Finizio arrogantly responded, “No, I know my skills are worth paying for, unlike blog sites. The site is free bc it’s not worth paying for.”

Screw this guy. If Whistic is hiring people like John Finizio and doing nothing about it, you can't trust Whistic and its overpriced product. I reached out to Whistic to ask what the is with their antagonizing employee and I haven't heard back.

Whistic Product Review

Whistic is a vendor security management platform for both buyers and sellers. It secured a $12 million Series A round of funding led by Emergence Capital in 2020. Whisitic has $16 million in total funding since its founding in 2015.

The Pleasant Grove, Utah-based company focuses on proactive vendor security, enabling customers that store or process sensitive data to conduct and respond to vendor security reviews, as well as respond to buyers’ requests for security compliance information via a single platform.

Whistic product price starts at $25,000 and is based on the number of vendors managed in the platform or the number of security questionnaires to which you’re responding. $25,000 is a ridiculous amount of money. No client needs to spend that type of money for Whistic's product.
